Happy Holidays! Top 5 Memories of 2014

Family and Friends,

Happy Holidays to you and yours! What an incredible year 2014 was for us. We're thankful for everyone who made this one of the best years yet.

Top 5 Memories of 2014:

1. Getting Married

We got married this spring! Our family, bridal party, and friends joined us at Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu's North Shore. It was a magical day with our loved ones.

We're so thankful for everyone who joined us during our wedding weekend. For those of you who were not able to join us, we missed you and you were there with us in spirit.

2. Honeymoon in Australia

On our 2nd date, we both agreed that we wanted to visit Australia someday. So it only made sense that we spent an adventurous honeymoon in Australia after the wedding!

From climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night, watching the Sydney Symphony play Russell Crowe's "Gladiator" score live at the Sydney Oepra House, to hiking the Blue Mountains and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef... our honeymoon was nothing short of amazing.

3. Family Celebrations

In addition to getting married, we celebrated a number of family events and milestones!

From Christie's parents' 40th Wedding Anniversary, Christie's Grandfather's 90th Birthday, Christie's Grandmother's 88th Birthday, Brian's brother Dan getting engaged to his fiance Carrie, Brian's brother Kevin and his wife Valerie expecting their first child, and celebrating and honoring the life of Grandma Jo Samson in Chicago... 2014 certainly was a year full of family and life celebrations!

4. Growing in Faith & Serving Together

We're incredibly thankful for God and faith being the foundation of our marriage. We both are active members of the Epic Church San Francisco community and love attending Sunday service together.

And we both believe it's important to continue giving back as much as we can. Brian serves on the Board of Crowden Music Center, and Christie serves on the leadership council of Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business Northern California Alumni Chapter.

5. Hustlin' in Silicon Valley

With Christie's 4 year anniversary approaching at SolarCity, and Brian advising early-stage startups, life in Silicon Valley is always in the fast lane! We're thankful experiencing and being a part of the exciting tech boom of Silicon Valley.

In closing, a co-worker once told Christie that his life centered around 5 F's: Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, and Finance - in that order of priority. As long as he kept the first 3 F's (Faith, Family, Friends) a priority in his life, everything else fell into place.

Similarly, we want to strive to center our life around our 5F's as well: Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, and Finance - in that order of priority.
