Thai Cooking Lessons

Brian singing the "Green Curry Sauce" song with our Filipino born Thai cooking class instructor

May to October is monsoon season in Thailand. It rains a ton.

Although we've had a number of of sunny beach and pool days in Phuket, we've also had a number of rainy days. And by raining, I mean it rains cats and dogs.

When it's monsoon season, you have to come up with creative things to do indoors. Brian and I resorted to cooking classes or getting spa treatments.

Brian and I signed up for a super fun 3 hour cooking class at Pum Thai Restaurant, that was ironically taught by a Filipino instructor. He was a fantastic instructor who taught us songs enthusiastically and beamed with passion and pride cooking Thai dishes in his new country.

We learned how to make some of our favorite Thai dishes:

  • Phad Thai

  • Phad Prio Wan

  • Green Curry

  • Phad Phak Ruam

  • Fried Rice

  • Mango Stiky Rice
