Summer in San Francisco
Due to the demands of our business, and navigating some of the changes, I had to spend a lot of time in San Francisco. So much time, that hotels didn't make sense, from both a cost and quality of life perspective.
I found an apartment, living in Cole Valley, a neighborhood right next to Golden Gate park. This experience wasn't easy on Christie or I, as I was away from her and Bali for weeks at a time, especially during June through September. While I was in SF, it made for a nice experience to be in a different neighborhood and check out something different.
The Painted Ladies, about a mile walk from my Cole Valley apartment
A typical summer day in Cole Valley, 55 degrees, cold, damp, and windy. Not exactly Hawaii :(
View from my apartment, when the sun was shining (for once!)
Being in SF meant an opportunity to see my cofounder Alex more often.
And see some games at AT&T park to see the Giants. In this case, I got to see my Cubbies play (and beat) and the Giants. Great game!
I also took our visiting executive, Agustin, who was in town from Buenos Aires and got to see his first baseball game (this time was Giants vs Dodgers, and Kershaw pitching). Agustin enjoyed the typical experience on beer and hotdog. He also asked an astute question "it seems like the players don't really do to much, no"?
On occasion, I would play golf with Alan at the course near SF State. Here is Alan getting ready to "grip it and rip it"
