Swimmie Swimmie

The pool has been open, closed, open, closed, open, and on and on this summer. Living on the west side of the island, summer gets hot, so being able to cool off in the pool is paramount. When it's open, I've taken advantage 3-4 days per week, and taken Zach with me as well. In fact, it's been one of my all time highlights as a Dad so far.

Zach and I call it "swimmie swimmie" and I just repeat that softly in his ear over and over again as we swim and float around the pool together for 30-40 minutes at a time. Last summer when he was just a few months old, the water terrified him. This summer he's become really comfortable, and went from a total poker face (he was concentrating hard) to utter joy and laughing as he splashes around.

When the pool is open, we take advantage and we're having a blast!
